Group Meetings

Unfortunately there has been a major breakdown in the communication of the team and unfortunately due to this the team has lost direction again.  Last week we had two team members that didn’t turn up to class and all planned meetings were cancelled.

It is becoming very hard to communicate with the team members.  People don’t seem to be checking the Facebook group posts or responding to messages.  It is becoming a little frustrating and worrying as we are coming to the end of semester and the project is not progressing.

Due to the nature of the project and the way we have as a team divided the tasks, the work cannot be completed without close and extensive communication. The division of work is like a production line, the second person cannot start their work if the first person hasn’t started and is not communicating.

It has been a challenge all semester to work as a team.  Likewise its been difficult to decided and determine ways to work better as a team.  I personally have spoken to the team about our poor communication and commitment and it doesn’t seem to change anything or enhance the teams collaboration.  The next two weeks until the final presentation I think will be very difficult and stressful due to the lack of interaction.  I am uncertain as to what I can do to help the team, I feel like every method has been tested and failed after a couple of days.
