Final Group Presentations

WHEEL...
  • The group produced a good and cohesive presentation that outlined most aspects of their project.  However, the presenters seemed a little in cohesive
  • The wheel prototype was well constructed and suited the purpose
  • The model in UE4 was a car, want it supposed to be for the training purposes of a truck?  Does this mean it didn’t meet the brief?
  • There was a bit of talking over one another
  • It seemed like not all members had participated in the projects end result
  • Presentation lacked ambition, creativity and was graphically not stimulating or engaging.
  • Members were a little argumentative when asked questions by the class and Russell.  A member also complained and became very confrontational when they didn’t put their hand up for an order and had to go first.

MARKER PROJECT....
  • Graphically a very good presentation.  An extremely coherent and informative presentation, they covered all aspects of their project to a high level
  • Their presentation at times seemed a bit jumbled and not practiced, with sides going back and forth
  • It was really great they talked about their individual, personal experiences
  • Very nice and appropriate inspiration – motion & time = biomechanical movement of an athlete and soccer player
  • Researched “expression of movement”
  • Way finding = “directional concept”
  • Considered all factors – lightweight structure, shadow projections, anamorphic design
  • Animations were great.  textures and modelling made it look like the actual site
  • Structural joints were very very good
  • Three forms of interactivity was probably excessive and would be quiet ‘busy’
  • Scale was good
  • A particular team member kept talking over other members and would repeat exactly what was already said
  • Bit confused as to whether the actually met the brief of their project or not?
  • Their designs were great and well thought out
  • They engaged with their slides

OCULUS RIFT....
  • Best presentation by far!!!
  • Outstanding
  • Outlined the brief and aim
  • Slides were simple but engaging
  • Set up the context and addressed clients and their needs
  • Explained and justified software’s used
  • Maybe focused too much on the actual modelling process rather than the end result
  • Made the presentation interactive by setting up scenarios and choosing classmates to try the oculus.

REVISTO MUSEUM....
  • The museum product was different
  • The idea of the multiple iPad/tablets was great!
  • Presentation was good, graphically engaging
  • I was confused as to why the museum was empty??
  • What was their brief to have a virtual museum?? But there were not artefacts?
  • Team respond well to the changed deliverable half way through
  • I found that passing around the tablets whilst they were presenting distracted people from their actual presentation which left many confused
  • Overall…very good
